The Background
Article 16(4) and 15(4) empowered the state to make provisions for socially and educationally backward classes. The framers envisioned this as a temporary corrective — Dr. Ambedkar himself stated in the Constituent Assembly that reservation should be reviewed after 10 years.
Over seven decades later, reservation now covers 49.5% of central government jobs and educational seats, has been extended repeatedly without evidence-based review, and has been contested in over 200 Supreme Court cases. Affluent members of reserved castes continue to benefit while the economically poor from non-reserved castes are excluded.
RHA Reforms emerged in 2024 — uniting students, professionals, veterans, and citizens who believe in the constitutional promise of equality: not identity-based privilege, but genuine opportunity for all.

To advocate, through constitutional and peaceful means, for the replacement of caste-based reservation with an economically-driven support system — one that truly reaches the most disadvantaged Indians, regardless of birth identity.
An India where every IIT seat, AIIMS berth, and IAS rank is earned through demonstrated merit. Where economic hardship — not a caste certificate — determines state support. Where the best doctor performs the surgery.
Abolish caste-based reservation in educational institutions and government employment — selection must be solely merit-based.
Implement an economically-driven support system for the genuinely disadvantaged, regardless of caste or religion.
Demand a judicial review of the constitutionality of extended reservation policies beyond their original mandate.
Ensure transparent, merit-only selection at IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, civil services, and the judiciary.
Advocate for a mandatory sunset clause on all reservation policies with evidence-based periodic review.
